Howdy! This is a sort of "two guys archery" venture consisting of Jett Johnson (me) & David Meyer, the bowyer behind the Turkey Island line. We're lifelong friends with a love of archery - particularly traditional archery. Dave started out bowhunting with a modern compound & I came back to our hometown about the same time he was transitioning to the stick & string. We both had shot the solid fiberglass "kid's bows" back in the day, but grew up never really considering the simple bow as a viable hunting weapon - Boy, were we wrong! We made or way into traditional archery together. It was (and still is) a very fascinating journey. We agree that hunting with traditional archery equipment transcends all other forms of the sport; and to provide a hunter with the means to do so is gratifying beyond measure. That's Dave on the left & that's me on the right posing very awkwardly in front of some of his trophies - and believe me, that room is full; with the majority taken with traditional equipment from simple self-bows, vintage production bows, & customs by other bowyers & himself.
